I have been asked by my love, my partner in business, my partner in life and my heart to write a little something about myself…so here I sit… and think…… If you know me, you will know this is very difficult for me as it is never about me, I am always thinking of everyone else and I guess that is how or why Sweet Pea Bakery came to be..
I come from a family that loves good food and loves to celebrate big occasions like Birthdays, Christmas, Easter etc and being a creative person whenever it was anyone’s birthday they would get a special cake.
Creating smiles and making people feel special is what I love to do and cakes became the perfect combination for that
But I needed a change in my life, but didn’t know where to start I knew I absolutely adored decorating and making things pretty and working with my hands, whether crafting, making or decorating; and I knew I loved making people feel specials; and I knew I loved yummy food and cake. So I decided to take the leap, to take the risk, to live like I only have one life, to find and follow my passion and to do something for myself. So I drew up a list of courses I wanted to attend and right at the very top was a Master Cake Decorating Course. After some research and support from my family and my love, I resigned from my job of 12 years and attended the Master Cake Decorating Course. I learnt some awesome skills and loved it. And Sweet Pea Bakery came to be.
As for the journey so far, it has been hard work, I cannot deny, there is always something to do and something that needs your attention. But over the last few months I have received an unbelievable amount of support and encouragement and love from so many of you.. and you have no idea how humbled and appreciative I am and how it fills my heart with pride that you enjoy what I do. But even better that due to your support I have been able to follow my dream, so thank you to all of you for your support xxx
Buuutttt, we are not done yet, like I said I am creative and love trying new things and so does my love (whose name by the way is Hans) so keep tuned in as there is always something new coming xxx
